Position Summary:

This is an entry-level Operations Support position within Managed Procurement Services (MPS). With supervision and mentorship, the contractor will ensure the smooth execution of the order process from order placement through final customer payment.

This is a high-volume, fast-paced role that requires strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and customer service skills. The role focuses on removing roadblocks in automated order processes, managing shifting priorities, and executing operational efficiencies across various functions such as order planning, exception management, inventory management, and payment resolution.

The ideal candidate will excel in written and verbal communication, ensuring clear and concise interactions with internal teams, customers, suppliers, and external partners

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Leverage technology and processes to identify and resolve issues affecting order execution.
  • Build collaborative relationships with internal teams and external partners to ensure smooth transportation, pricing, and product handling.
  • Learn to manage and plan order activities, ensuring accuracy and completion in company systems.
  • Support order-related tasks including tracking shipments, managing exceptions, inventory reconciliation, pricing validation, and invoicing.
  • Assist in problem-solving for exception orders, working with clients, transportation providers, and distribution partners to mitigate disruptions.
  • Maintain item-level data such as pack sizes, pricing, and product descriptions.
  • Support vendor communications to ensure a continuous supply of goods.
  • Help identify and resolve service failures (e.g., late deliveries) to minimize disruptions to customers.
  • Provide high levels of customer service through prompt, professional communication.
  • Monitor and report operational status to the team.
  • Work towards achieving key performance indicators (KPIs) related to operational and tactical goals.
  • Perform other duties as assigned based on team and business needs

Qualifications:

Required:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including some weekends

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Operations Management
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Developed customer service and problem-solving skills
  • Process-oriented mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
  • Strong customer service orientation and commitment to service excellence
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
